Interior Architecture Project
Expanding the room of the residence of 250.00 m² in Recreio dos Bandeirantes and creating the decoration of environments in a children’s Lounge was what was missing in the home of the family Rodrigues R. Thinking about this Interior Architecture Project, they invited the Architect Virna Carvalho, who indicated by friends from Rio de Janeiro, would accept the challenge.
The goal was to integrate environments to bring parents, children and friends together while creating spaces that would provide individuality and privacy. The association between the living room and the children’s lounge was the great challenge of implementing this project.
All retirement projects are a challenge, but this was interesting as it was a social area for children. To help in the exchange of environment and in isolation, according to the need of the moment, I worked with Venetian partitions. They wanted the couple of children to have their space, but they were also close to them in an organized social environment.
The expansion happened in an area that used to be a garage with inspection boxes that could not be removed and that I will need some maintenance. The vinyl floor was then used as it could be removed and repositioned when necessary.
The interior design project in the Children’s Lounge blended light shades of gray and the details were crafted with turquoise color as it is a color that caters to the unisex ambiance.
As toys would bring many colors into space, I chose to work with neutral colors.
The living room of the residence gained another atmosphere of being linked the home theater and the dining room.
Lighting with ceiling lamps and indirect lighting always with LED lamps.
Walls with off-white paint, white anodized aluminum frame, vinyl type vinyl floor and BONTEMPO joinery.
